Diploma of Project Management
Project management is a dynamic profession that involves the careful planning, coordinating, budgeting and evaluating large-scale projects, as well as managing the risks and the people involved, to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria.
This qualification prepares students to manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. It develops the skills to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
SELC’s Diploma of Project Management will enable you to master the practical elements of project management, and will examine the factors that have an impact on project productivity. This qualification is an excellent investment in rounding out your project management capabilities.

Qualification Structure and Course Content
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. Project Managers may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

Terms and Breaks
SELC Business and Management courses are delivered over 9 week terms, with 3 week breaks and with intakes 4 times a year.*
BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management is delivered over 4 terms (approximately one year).
* Please note the Christmas/New Year break is 7 weeks and the first break of 2022 is 4 weeks long.
Delivery and Assessment
All vocational courses are assessed through a combination of assessment types that may include written assignments, case studies, reports, group tasks, portfolios and/or presentations. Students must successfully pass all units to complete the qualification.
All course materials and workbooks are available for free download from SELC’s e-learning platform. Assessment workbooks are provided inclusive of course fees.
Exit point/Award
BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management (AQF – 5) is a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
